Both of them were dreamers or something like that, Daisy needed a more down-to-earth hero. I read somewhere that she tried to write that story but it just didn’t work. That and the fact that Daisy did not end with Cam. Her contemporary novels were one of my disappointments in my nearly forty years reading this genre. Well, and to the majority of her contemporaries as well. I gave 1-star and 2-star reviews to several of her oldies. Yes, I think her work does holds up, except a few of the first novels which are very boring. You will always remember Marcus, with that Darcy-vibe, a touch of enemies to lovers. That’s why It happened one Autumn is also my favourite among the Wallflower series. They are powerful heroes, with intense feelings, but clever and strong, I IDK, for me it’s the heroes, always. Derek and Sarah’s glasses for instance, that kind of thing. Why are those my favourites? Well because of Derek, Ross and Christopher and the very romantic traits they show. I can tell you which ones received a 5 stars review from me:ĭreaming of You, Lady Sophia’s Lover & Love in the Afternoon. I cannot say which of her books are the best. Yes, I do miss her books, but I understand that an author has to take time to make a quality product. I’ve read and reviewed all her books (both in my blog and in Goodreads, so yes, I’m a huge fan), from the quite boring first ones to the charming and light Wallflowers. Kleypas is my favourite author in historical romances.
